Desert X | Coachella Valley

THE CIRCLE OF LAND AND SKY

THE CIRCLE OF LAND AND SKY

If you know one thing about me it's that I am a big whiny baby during the summer. I hate being uncomfortable in general, but I really hate being hot and sweaty.

(You can always bundle up during winter, but you can only get so naked!!!!)

Adrienne and I went to see the Anza Borrego Superbloom this year and it was terribly hot. LIKE HOT LAVA KIND OF HOT. Also, I'm not dramatic, I'm just really trying to convey how FLIPPING HOT IT WAS.

I almost didn't go to Desert X with her, but I am so glad we went on this little impromptu adventure and boudoir session!! Desert X is an interactive art installation all through out the Coachella Valley, Palm Springs & Palm Desert. You can read more about on their website here: https://www.desertx.org/

This beach cover/dress is designed and made by my mom!

We didn't get our car stuck in the sand in the middle of nowhere like LAST TIME, but as always we had some kind of adventure. We crossed paths with a RATTLESNAKE. 😱

A FRICKIN' RATTLE SNAKE.

Do you see the rattlesnake?

Do you see the rattlesnake?

HOW ABOUT NOW!?

DO YOU SEE THIS EVIL STEALTH NOODLE NOW? It was practically invisible in the sand, ready to sink it's poison needles into unsuspecting victims.

Despite the crazy heat and monster lurking about, it was still quite fun looking for all these art installations. We also had some pretty cute images to boot!

On our way back from Palm Desert, I spotted this amazing oasis right off the freeway! I don't know how I've managed to luck out and see this beauty out of the corner of my eye, but I am thankful I did! I need someone to do a boudoir session here. Do YOU want to book you boudoir session in a desert oasis? For real message me girl >>> DO IT.

I'm excited in this image because this oasis is seemingly free of death noodles.
